The NSWRL is pleased to announce the 2020 State of Origin Series and Women’s State of Origin match will be held in November over a blockbuster 14-day period with both the men’s and women’s teams having the chance to defend their respective shields.
The dates for the games had to be shifted because of the Coronavirus crisis that shut down the NRL competition and the decision to hold them after the NRL Grand Final on October 25 has been made in careful consideration with the Federal and State Governments.
The new dates for the matches will be:
Origin I – Wednesday 4 November
Origin II – Wednesday 11 November
Women’s State of Origin – Friday 13 November
Origin III – Wednesday 18 November
The NRL and the NSWRL understands these changes to the schedule will impact many but hope the community will understand that the public health and safety issues caused by the Coronavirus take priority at this time.
